Workshop Manager & Lead Cycle Mechanic
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager & Lead Mechanic to lead the day-to-day operation and ongoing development of our St Austell workshop. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping the workshop reach its full potential, and we're looking for someone who is proactive, organised and able to find practical solutions to challenges as they arise.
This is a hands-on role combining bicycle mechanics, workshop management and people development. You will oversee bike refurbishment, repairs, servicing, stock management and the safe and effective running of the workshop, while line managing an Apprentice Mechanic.
You will also support volunteers and deliver practical sessions for young people attending Alternative Provision. Many of the people we work with have faced challenges in education, employment or wellbeing, so you'll need to be able to build positive relationships, set clear expectations and create a welcoming and supportive environment.
