Community cycling for everyone

Powering Pedals
Build skills. Gain confidence. Discover new opportunities.
The Cornwall Bicycle Project is delighted to launch Powering Pedals, a brand-new programme funded by National Grid for people aged 16 and over who are not currently in education, employment or training (NEET).
Powering Pedals offers the chance to learn practical cycle maintenance skills in a friendly and supportive environment. Through hands-on sessions in our workshops, participants can develop new abilities, work towards recognised AQA qualifications in cycle mechanics, and take positive steps towards future education, volunteering or employment opportunities.
Whether you've always been interested in bikes, want to learn something new, or are looking to boost your confidence and gain experience, this programme is designed to help you succeed.

Inclusive & Adaptive Cycling in Cornwall
At The Cornwall Bicycle Project, we believe cycling should be for everyone. Adaptive cycling goes far beyond recreation — it can transform lives.
For many people, getting back on a bike isn’t just about exercise. It’s about freedom, independence and confidence.
Adaptive cycling supports both physical and emotional wellbeing, helping riders rediscover movement, build strength and reconnect with the joy of being outdoors.
Our sessions provide a welcoming and supportive environment where riders of all ages and abilities can experience the excitement of cycling — whether that’s on the track, the open road or a scenic trail.
Part of the British Cycling Limitless Programme
We are proud to be a Focus Club within the British Cycling Limitless Programme, helping to grow opportunities for adapted cycling across Cornwall.
Supported by Mencap
We’re also excited to be supported by Mencap this year, helping us expand inclusive cycling opportunities and welcome even more riders into our sessions. Partnerships like this help us continue breaking down barriers and making cycling accessible to everyone.
