Adam D

Adam has been mountain biking since before secondary school. After going to Uni and relocating from the Midlands to the South West he got back into Mountain biking when in 2012 his colleagues suggested they all use the ‘Cycle to Work Scheme’ to purchase bikes. His experience in Wild Country enables him to explore the more wild places in our local area as well as Nationally across England, Scotland and Wales. After achieving his MIAS Level 2 in summer 2021, Adam started coaching with TCPB at Woody’s on Monday nights and since then has been involved in a season of winter racing at Gawton Gravity Hub and other events at locations across Cornwall.

Adam has used this experience, and love, of all things bikes to teach others and is always looking to pass on his knowledge. In 2015, he started his journey to becoming a qualified coach and has picked up a number of qualifications on the way, including a degree in coaching and a Level 5 Mountain Bike Skills Instruction and Coaching Award. She keeps fit by going to spin classes three times a week and breeze rides every Thursday evening. Friday mornings she runs adult social rides either along the trail or on the road and this is a great way to keep fit and enjoy the company of others while taking in the scenery and maybe stopping for a coffee and slice of cake. Enjoying new challenges, she recently started cold water swimming (which is becoming easier now the sea temperature is rising!)
